- After completing the checkout process you will receive two separate emails: one to add enrolment details (DOB, USI etc) and another inviting you to create an aXcelerate login (online learning portal).

Overview
The Advanced First Aid course equips students with the knowledge and skill to perform CPR and provide an advanced first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines.
It is suitable as an advanced-level first aid course or for individuals required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergency situations.

Course duration and delivery:
Completion of a series of online training modules and knowledge assessment, taking approximately 4-5 hours to complete and 1 day (8.5 hours) in-class practical training and assessment.
Prerequisites:
- The physical ability to complete 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor and 2 minutes of continuous CPR on an infant manikin.
- It is strongly recommend that students have an understanding of CPR and first aid from previous training or practical experience.
- Minimum age 15 years
- In order to complete this course, you must be able to:
- Give a clear verbal report of an incident
- Understand verbal instructions
- Read and understand written instructions
- Write an incident report
Certification:
On successful completion of the course, students will be provided with a Statement of Attainment that includes the following:
- HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid
- HLTAID014 - Provide Advanced First Aid
