    This course equips students with the knowledge and skill to perform CPR and provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines. It is suitable as an entry level first aid course or for individuals requiring requalification.

    Course duration and delivery:
    Completion of a series of online training modules and knowledge assessment, taking approximately 3-4 hours to complete and a full day in-class practical training and assessment. 

    - The physical ability to complete 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor and 2 minutes of continuous CPR on an infant manikin.
    - Minimum age 15 years
    - In order to complete this course, you must be able to:

    • Give a clear verbal report of an incident
    • Understand verbal instructions
    • Read and understand written instructions
    • Write an incident report

    On successful completion of the course, students will be provided with a Statement of Attainment  that includes the following:

    • HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
    • HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support
    • HLTAID011 - Provide first aid
