    Understanding Movement: Helping students thrive in aquatic environments

    Join us for a day of practical learning, fresh ideas and professional development, featuring presentations including:

    • An Occupational Therapist with experience supporting students in aquatic environments, sharing how occupational therapy strategies can help build water confidence, develop motor skills, refine stroke technique, and support students with diverse learning needs.
    • Helen Harris, LIWA Swim Teacher of the Year and Program Coordinator at Telethon Superfins, sharing her experiences, practical teaching strategies, and success stories from delivering inclusive learn-to-swim programs.
    • Industry updates, keeping you informed on the latest developments and initiatives across the aquatic and water safety sector.
    • The launch of our brand new online professional development module, Managing Parent Expectations - packed with practical tips and strategies to help swim teachers, trainers and coordinators build positive relationships with parents and confidently navigate challenging conversations.

    Our practical pool session will focus on transferring our classroom learning into practice, with:

    • Practical application of the day’s presentations.
    • New and engaging drills and activities.
    • Opportunities to collaborate, share ideas and learn from fellow swim teachers.
