The Teacher of Lifesaving eLearning module offers a comprehensive professional development course, enhancing the skills of swimming and water safety instructors, as well as physical education teachers. It covers key aspects of teaching lifesaving skills, including personal survival, rescue, and resuscitation, focusing on engaging, effective, and safe instruction.
Recognising varying levels of prior knowledge, the course builds on existing expertise. Through reflective exercises, it deepens understanding and addresses skill gaps, ultimately improving learner outcomes and program quality. The interactive learning experience incorporates videos, hypothetical scenarios, knowledge checks, and more.
Upon successful completion, participants receive the Teacher of Lifesaving Award, earning professional development that is recognised by both the Royal Life Saving and AUSTSWIM swim teacher license schemes. Join this course to elevate your teaching skills in a lifesaving context.
